Argos Black Friday 2017 deals – how to find the best offers

Argos is expected to reveal some amazing Black Friday next month this year to the delight of bargain-hunters and sale shoppers across the UK.

Last year Argos saw 53m visits to its website over Black Friday, with the retailer recording its busiest hour in its history between 9pm and 10pm on Thursday 24 November when it launched its deals three hours earlier than expected.

Before Black Friday had technically started Argos had already received almost 810,000 visits – a whopping 13, 486 hits a minute. The retailer sold 18 televisions sales every minute and a record number of Apple Mac flew off the shelves as shoppers stocked up ahead of Christmas.

Many parents also rushed to grab Christmas presents in the huge shopping event, as the top-selling toys LOL Surprise, Luvabella and Hatichmals were featured in the price cuts.

Other popular products consumers brought in droves included video gaming consoles, video games and tablets, with the biggest growth in sale on smart audio products and smart home tech items.

Online shopping was by far the most popular option last year, with Argos reporting that 79% of online visits came from mobile phones and tablets peaking between 6am and 7am when shoppers hopped online as soon as they woke up or on their way to work.

Speaking last year, John Rogers, Argos CEO, said: “These early figures demonstrate that Black Friday continues to be a big shopping moment for savvy customers, with many viewing and purchasing major items as soon as the deals went live at 9pm. We have been busy preparing for the Black Friday period for many months now, ensuring our digital channels, stores and distribution centres are all geared for the continued high levels of demand expected”.
